Actor, dancer, model and endorser Teejay Marquez inks a movie contract with Regal Entertainment today to become the latest Regal Millennial Baby.
Teejay first caught public eye when he co-hosted the late Master Showman German Moreno's late-night show. "Walang Tulugan with Kuya Germs".
From then on, he appeared in "Tween Hearts" on the Kapuso Network. He did other shows for GMA-7 like "Ana Karenina", "Pyra Ang Babaeng Apoy," "Home Sweet Home" and others before he made the switch to ABS-CBN.
Teejay was also named PMPC Star Awards for TV's Best New Male Star on 2009 for his stint in "Tween Hearts."
Over at ABS-CBN, he played roles in the teleseryes "Dream Dad" and "The Greatest Love of All."
His acting career took flight in 2016 when a talent agency in Indonesia caught sight of his "Twerk It Like Miley" video on Instagram.
Soon after, Teejay did the film "Dubsmash" shown in that part of the globe May 2016 and was eventually tagged as the "Dubsmash King of Indonesia."
While in Indonesia, Teejay had to learn the Bahamas Language in preparation for a teleserye.
"Hindi ko ini-expect na pagdating ko ddin talagang mainit ang pagtanggap ng tao sa akin. Nang malaman na nandoon ako, lahat yata ng TV stations gusto akong ma-interview," says Teejay in an interview last year.
His popularity in Indonesia served didn't escape the watchful eyes of the mother and daughter team of Lily and Roselle Monteverde, who decided on making Teejay Regal's newest Millennial Baby.
With the new breaks in his career, Teejay hopes to duplicate in the Philippines the success he now enjoys in Indonesia and nearby Malaysia.
