Matt Evans (Jay-R) plays a rebellious son who killed his own father, who only wanted to guide him to the right path, in "Ipaglaban Mo" this Saturday (Jan 10).
Jay-R was raised in a wealthy family and got whatever he wanted. However, he grew up as a rebellious son. He became addicted to drugs and alcohol, which became the frequent cause of arguments between him and his father and sister. Her mother Magda (Rita Avila), meanwhile, remained understanding to him despite his waywardness.
Hoping that he could set Jay-R's attitude right, Dario (Juan Rodrigo), Jay-R's father, granted his son's request to sit with him over drinks so they could talk peacefully. But it only led Jay-R to killing his own father. Jay-R hit Dario with a car he was driving after the latter stopped him from returning to the bar where they came from.
Jay-R was able to convince his mother that it was an accident, but not his sister Maggie (Dianne Medina). Did Dario attain justice for the crime his own son committed? What punishment awaited Jay-R when the truth finally came out?
