Bituing Walang Ningning:The Musical Soon to Stage at Resorts World Manila

Resorts World Manila (RWM), the country's first integrated resort and entertainment hun, in cooperation with Viva Communications,Inc.,  inked a landmark partnership agreement to produce a first of its kind musical production entitled "Bituing Walang Ningning" based on the blockbuster film with celebrities like Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Cherie Gil and Christopher De Leon. 

Present during the contract signing were (L-R): Colin Kerr, RWM Chief Entertainment Officer and Managing Director of Full House Theater Company; Kingson Sian, RWM President; Vicente R. Del Rosario, Jr., Viva Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; and Vincent G. Del Rosario, Viva Executive Vice President.

The doors are open for local aspirants to play the lead role of Dorina Pineda popularized in the movie by Sharon Cuneta. The role calls females with the following criteria: 1) Between 16 to 20 years of age; 2) Exceptional talent for singing and acting and can speak Filipino

fluently; and must have; 3) Pleasing personality and good moral character. The open auditions will be held at the Plaza in Newport Mall on February 28 and March 1,2015 and is open to both amateur and professional artists.

 "Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita" starring Denise Laurel, Jane Oineza, Loisa Andalio, and Vina Morales will start on Monday (January 19).

What happens when Mac finds out that this long-lost twin brother of his turns out to be someone like Chiz (Empoy), who is the total opposite of what he expected? The Voice of The Philippines Knock Out Round for Team Apl and Team Lea

Top-rating and Twitter-trending "The Voice of the Philippines" gets into its crucial knockout rounds beginning this Saturday (Jan 10), with the artists left to choose their own song that they believe best showcases their voice.

Who will get booted out of the competition and who will move on to the Live Shows?

This weekend, the country's number one singing competition is serving up Team Apl's and Team Lea's knockout rounds, where three artists from each team will be pitted against one another. From each trio, the coaches will be forced to eliminate an artist and pick two that will stay.

But unlike in the battle rounds, the artists get to choose their own songs and they won't be informed about who their contenders will be, so they are compelled to give the performance of their lives to help them stand out.

Fighting for their families and dreams on Team Apl are Alisa Bonaobra ("Follow Your Dreams"), Mackie Cao ("Salamat"), Jannet Cadayona ("Pusong Bato"), Mark Cando (Impossible Dream"), Daryl Ong ("The Greatest Love of All"), Bradley Holmes ("Kumusta Mga Kaibigan"), and Ferns Tosco ("Let It Be). Patricia Gomes and Suy Galvez, who coach Apl stole from Kamp Kawayan, will be singing "Oo" and "At Last," respectively.

Giving their unique renditions of hits on Team Lea are Leah Patricio ("Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin"), Nino Alejandro ("Love Hurts"), Timmy Pavino ("Narito"), Mic Llave ("Anak"), Jem Cubil ("Drive"), Charles Catbagan ("Kahit Isang Saglit"), and Miro Valera ("Wannabe"). Pope Francis Papal Visit in the Philippines on January 15 - 19, 2015

Pope Francis will bring his message of "mercy and compassion" to at least 11 different venues in the province of Leyte and Metro Manila during his Apostolic Visit to the Philippines on January 15-19, 2015.

Pope Francis is expected to arrive in Manila from Sri Lanka, the first leg of his Asian trip, by plane past 5 p.m. on January 15, and will go on a motorcade to his official residence in the Philippines. The following morning, January 16, Pope Francis will be officially welcomed by President Benigno S. Aquino III at Malacañan Palace on J. P. Laurel Street in Manila. The Popewill also meet Philippine authorities and members of the diplomatic corps.

After the Palace reception, Pope Francis will go on a motorcade to the Cathedral-Basilica of theImmaculate Conception (Manila Cathedral) in Intramuros for a Mass with bishops, priests, and women and men religious. Later, he will have an encounter with families at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

In Leyte Province in Eastern Visayas, Pope Francis will visit the Archdiocese of Palo. He will offer Mass near Tacloban Airport  in the morning of January 17 and will have lunch with the poor and survivors of natural calamities at the residence of the Archbishop of Palo. Afterwards he will bless the Pope Francis Center for the Poor in Palo, and visit the Cathedral of Our Lord's Transfiguration (Palo Cathedral) to meet with priests and women and men religious.

On January 18, the Pope will meet religious leaders and young people at the Pontifical University of Santo Tomas in Manila. In the afternoon, he will go on a motorcade for the Concluding Mass at Quirino Grandstand in Rizal (Luneta) Park.

Pope Francis will leave for Rome on January 19.

The first group of judges to join the Miss Universe judging panel, who will help select the next titleholder, includes:

-Manny Pacquiao, Fighter of the Decade, eight-division world champion and Filipino Congressman. 
-Kristin Cavallari, TV host and shoe designer.
-William Levy, TV and film actor who was previously named People En Espanol's Sexiest Man Alive. 
-Lisa Vanderpump, Star of the hit show "Vanderpump Rules" and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills".
-Louise Roe, Fashion journalist, author, host of "Plain Jane" on MTV International and the upcoming TLC fashion series, "Style By Jury".

"Bagito" Stars Nash, Alexa and Ella are Ready to Face New Chapter

Kapamilya teen stars Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad, and Ella Cruz are excited for the big changes that are bound to happen in the lives of their characters as their top-rating primetime drama series on ABS-CBN "Bagito" opens a new chapter this January.

"'Bagito' has been such a big blessing for us in 2014. And to bring back the joy that our viewers gave us, we promise them more exciting events and revelations in the story that will keep them glued to their screens including the changes in Drew's life as a teenager, a father, and a son," shared Nash, who plays Drew in the story.

Julia Barreto and Iñigo Pascual for Wansapanatym "Wish Upon A Lusis"

Kapamilya stars royalties Julia Barretto and Iñigo Pascual will share to TV viewers a story about love, family, and magic beginning this Sunday (January 11) as they star in the newest "Wansapanataym" special titled "Wish Upon A Lusis."

In the story, Julia will give life to the role of Joy, a young girl who grew up in an orphanage and who desires nothing but to find a family who will love and accept her. Despite her sadness, Joy finds a new source of inspiration through the popular celebrity JP, to be portrayed by Iñigo.

How will Joy's life change when she finally gets to meet JP in person with the help of a magical "lusis" (sparkler)? Will they be able to fulfill each other's wish to feel and find the love of a family that they both long for?

Also part of "Wansapanataym Presents Wish Upon A Lusis" are Susan Africa, Susan Africa, Perla Bautista, Bobby Andrews, Miguel Vergara, Eunice Lagusad, Kazumi Porquez, Daisy Reyes, and Ana Roces. It is written by Joel Mercado and directed by Manny Palo and Rahyan Carlos.
